Simon Turner, President - Pigments and Additives Division
Huntsman Corporation

Peter R. Huntsman is President and CEO of Huntsman Corporation. Huntsman is a global manufacturer and marketer of differentiated chemicals and its operating companies manufacture products for a variety of global industries. Huntsman today has more than 15,000 employees and contractors with 2014 revenues of approximately $12 billion.

Mr. Huntsman began his professional career in 1983 with Olympus Oil Corporation and in 1986, was named the company’s president. In 1987, he joined Huntsman Corporation and in 1994, was named President of Huntsman Petrochemicals. In 1996, Mr. Huntsman became President and Chief Operating Officer of Huntsman Corporation, and in July 2000, was named the company’s CEO.

Mr. Huntsman serves on various executive boards and councils including the Board of Overseers for the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania; the Board of Directors for the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas; the Board of Directors for the Montgomery County Women’s Center; and the Board of Advisors for Interfaith of The Woodlands in Houston, Texas. Mr. Huntsman also serves as CEO of the Huntsman Cancer Foundation and the Huntsman Family Foundation.

He and his wife, the former Brynn Ballard, are the parents of eight children and have 10 grandchildren.



David Robb, Managing Director and CEO
Iluka Resources

David Robb is Managing Director and CEO of Iluka Resources Limited. He is also currently a Director of the Centre for Independent Studies; Chair of the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics at the University of Western Australia; and a Director of the Melbourne Football Club.

David worked in the downstream oil industry with BP in Australia, the UK, the USA and Asia, before joining Wesfarmers in Perth in 1995. In 2004 he was appointed an Executive Director of Wesfarmers, a role relinquished in 2006 on joining Iluka. Other previous roles include Chairman of Consolidated Rutile Limited and Deputy Chair of Methodist Ladies College, Perth.

David holds a Bachelor of Science degree, a Graduate Diploma in Personnel Administration, has completed the Harvard University Business School Advanced Management Program and is a Fellow of AIM and the AICD.



E. Bryan Snell, President, Titanium Technologies
The Chemours Company

Bryan joined DuPont in 1978 at the Savannah River, South Carolina plant as a process engineer and held various assignments at that location until 1987. Between 1987 and 1992, he served in various business and manufacturing roles in the Petrochemicals Department and in Corporate Plans.

Bryan joined the DuPont Titanium Technologies business in 1992 as production unit manager at the Edgemoor plant near Wilmington, Delaware. Since that time he has held a range of leadership roles in Titanium Technologies. In 1997, he assumed the role of venture manager in the new ventures group, and two years later he moved into a global sales and marketing assignment. In 2002, he was named plant manager of the Kuan Yin TiO2 plant in Taiwan, and in 2004, he was appointed managing director for Titanium Technologies in the Asia Pacific region.

He repatriated to the United States in 2006 when he was named North American operations director, Coatings and Color Technologies. In 2008, he became global business director, Titanium Technologies. In 2010, he became global planning director, Titanium Technologies. In 2013, he relocated to Singapore where he continued to lead the Titanium Technologies planning function. Bryan joined Chemours as senior vice president, productivity and strategy in 2014. He was named to his current position in May 2015.

Bryan is a native of Wilmington, Delaware, and holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware.

Gao Tao, Manager, Light Vehicle Production Forecasts
IHS Greater China

Mr. Gao Tao serves as the Manager of the Greater China Light Vehicle Production Forecast service. His expertise in light vehicle production forecasting for China and Taiwan includes OEM strategy, platform, market trend and product lifecycle analysis of government policy and consumer pattern issues. Before joining IHS Automotive, Mr. Tao took the responsibility in the Strategic Market Research area in a German auto component company in Shanghai for eight years. He holds a master degree of Economics from the University Freiburg, Germany.



Bernhard Geissinger, Category Manager Pigments
Munksjö Group

Bernhard Geissinger is Category Manager at Munksjö Oyj. He received his diploma in Pulp and Paper Engineering in 1995 from the University of Applied Sciences in Munich (Germany). The same year, he started his career in the paper industry and has now more than 20 years of experience in different roles.

From 1998 until 2008, he was Technology Manager at Munksjö Paper spa, Besozzo (Italy). In 2009, he became part of the Corporate Procurement organization at Munksjö. In his role as Category Manager, he is responsible for the global sourcing of pigments and chemicals with focus on Titanium Dioxide. His office is located in Aalen-Unterkochen (Germany).

Bernhard Geissinger is a regular visitor and speaker at industry events for topics around “Titanium Dioxide for Laminate Paper”.



Eric Bender, Vice President, Americas
TZ Minerals International

Eric leads the Houston, USA office as VP, Americas. Eric joined TZMI in 2009 and has more than 15 years experience in the chemical industry. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Mississippi State University and has prior experience in the chemical industry with Eastman Chemical, Momentive in various business development, corporate development, and corporate strategy roles. Eric’s TiO2 pigment experience came from Tronox, where he held numerous positions from Engineering to Strategic Sourcing, Business Development and Mergers & Acquisitions.



Gary Cianfichi, President - Americas
FP-Pigments Inc.

FP-Pigments is a privately held Finland based producer of high-performance specialty pigments for a variety of end-use applications. Prior to his current role, Cianfichi was the marketing director for the Materials Technology business of WR Grace, a titanium industry consultant and for 27 years an executive for Cristal, formerly the Millennium Chemicals TiO2 business. At Cristal and Millennium, Cianfichi held a number of executive management positions including, Vice President of Global Marketing and Sales and Vice President of Supply Chain and IT. He has lived and worked in various countries including stints in the United Kingdom, Belgium and Australia. He was the Chairman of the Cefic Titanium Dioxide Manufacturers Association (a TiO2 industry trade group based in Europe), is a past member of the U.S. National Paint and Coatings Association Board of Directors (now the ACA), has served as Chairman for a few global TiO2 industry conferences and is on the executive planning committee for the Maryland affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Cianfichi is married with two adult children and resides in Baltimore, Maryland.



Henry Seiner, Vice President of Business Strategy & Logistics
TIMET

Mr. Seiner, TIMET's Vice President of Business Strategy, oversees the Marketing, Product Management, Purchasing and Production Planning organizations for TIMET. In this role, he has responsibility for and visibility into all aspects of TIMET’s supply chain.

Henry is based in TIMET's Toronto, OH facility ‐‐ which is geographically and structurally in the middle of TIMET's global supply chain. He has held various positions in Production Planning, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Marketing in his 23 year tenure at TIMET. Henry is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Titanium Association (ITA) and Chairman of the Aerospace Subcommittee of the ITA.

Prior to coming to TIMET, Henry spent six years at U. S. Steel Corporation in Sales, Marketing and Production Planning. His educational background includes a Masters Degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA and a Bachelors Degree from Duke University in Durham, NC. Henry is a native of Pittsburgh and continues to reside in Western Pennsylvania.



David McCoy, Principal Consultant and Executive Director
TZ Minerals International

David has been involved in the mineral sands and TiO2 pigment industry since 1997 in Australia and the US. He joined TZMI in 2004 and heads up the Markets and Strategic Services team on a wide variety of projects across opaque mineral, metal and chemical sectors. He has a degree in Chemical Engineering from Curtin University of Technology as well as a Masters of Engineering Management (International Finance). David has worked for RGC (now Iluka Resources) and Tiwest in process engineering, technical and engineering services roles, and in business management and global supply chain functions as a Senior Business Analyst with Kerr-McGee Chemical LLC in Oklahoma City USA.

Philip Murphy, Principal Consultant and Executive Director
TZ Minerals International

Philip Murphy joined TZMI in 1999 and held the position of managing director for 5 years until 2013. In his new role as Executive Director, Philip is responsible for TZMI’s China activities and global business development, with a new focus on broadening TZMI’s geographical presence and services. Philip is also involved with TZMI’s market study assignments and assists a vast number of global clients in the financial community, including credit committees of banks, to further understand the dynamics of the mineral sands industry. Before joining TZMI, Philip was a highly regarded commodity/mining analyst based in Johannesburg, specialising in titanium minerals and other industrial minerals. He graduated from the University of Natal and brings almost 25 years of expertise to the analysis of commodity markets, with particular emphasis on the global mineral sands sector.



Jean-Michel Fourcade, Chief Executive Officer
TiZir Limited

Prior to becoming the CEO of TiZir Limited in April 2013, Jean-Michel joined Eramet in 2002 as VP Operations of the Manganese Division and then moved to the position of VP of R&D, Innovation, Engineering and Purchasing at the corporate level.

Jean-Michel is a graduate of the Paris School of Mines and of the Advanced Management Program in INSEAD. He has solid experience in plant management and International project development. He has held various operational positions at Société Le Nickel in New Caledonia and Arcelor Mittal in France.

Jean-Michel’s former responsibilities include Board Member positions at Eramet China, Eramet Marietta and Eramet Norway and he has been Chairman of TiZir Titanium and Iron since 2008.



Dr. Willem Van Niekerk, Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning and Business Development
Tronox

Dr. Willem Van Niekerk has served as Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning and Business Development since the integration of Tronox and Exxaro Mineral Sands in June 2012. Willem has more than 20 years of experience in research and development, operations and business development in the mineral sands industry, including the design of the smelter at the KZN Sands site in South Africa. From 2006 to 2008, he co-managed the Tiwest joint venture in Australia. Earlier he worked in the steel industry, managed a zinc refinery and lectured at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He has published/presented more than 20 international papers and holds a patent in liquid iron treatment. He has held numerous directorships in South Africa, Australia and China.



Dr Mark Davies, Chief Commercial Officer
Rio Tinto Iron and Titanium

Mark Davies is the Chief Commercial Officer, Rio Tinto Iron & Titanium. Mark has been with Rio Tinto for 19 years and has held a variety of technical and commercial roles with Rio Tinto Energy and Technology & Innovation in the UK, US and Australia. Prior roles include the General Manger of Business Development at Rio Tinto Energy America and Director of Technology and Engineering at Hydrogen Energy. Most recently, Mark was the Head of Group Risk for Rio Tinto where he was responsible for establishing a holistic approach to managing risk across the Group. He has an honours degree in mechanical engineering and a PhD in engineering from Adelaide University in Australia.



John Sisay, CEO
Sierra Rutile Limited

Mr. Sisay has accumulated considerable experience within the African mining sector having worked in over ten African countries. Mr. Sisay started his career as a graduate trainee at the Central Selling Organization (CSO) of De Beers Consolidated Mines Ltd. After working at De Beers, Mr. Sisay joined America Minerals Fields, now part of First Quantum, working on new acquisitions for the company, particularly in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Additionally, he has served as President of the Sierra Leone Chamber of Mines and as a Non-Executive Director for Diamond Fields International and Vimetco S.L. Mr. Sisay joined Sierra Rutile in 2001. He periodically serves as an advisor to the Government of Sierra Leone (GOSL) on mining-related issues.



Bruce Griffin, Chief Executive Officer
TZ Minerals International

Bruce Griffin joined TZMI in 2014. As CEO Bruce’s focus is to lead the company through the next phase of growing and broadening the business. Bruce is an experienced executive with international experience in mining, oil and gas, chemicals and agribusiness. Prior to TZMI, Bruce was CEO at World Titanium Resources (2011 to 2013) and held a number of positions over seven years at BHP Billiton including four years as Vice President Titanium where he was responsible for BHP Billiton’s titanium business, including the Richards Bay Minerals joint venture with Rio Tinto and the Corridor Sands and Tigen projects in Mozambique. His career started at Shell working as an engineer and economist in New Zealand, Venezuela and the Netherlands. Bruce has also worked as a consultant for Bain and Company and a senior executive at GrainCorp in Australia. Bruce holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical and Process Engineering, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and an MBA.



Grant Smith, Director
Australasian Minerals & Trading Pty Ltd

Grant graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1980 with a B (Applied) Sc. and began his minerals marketing career 34 years ago in the Australian coal industry. He began working in the mineral sands industry in 1987 working with Queensland Mines Ltd and in 1994 established his own company, Australasian Minerals & Trading (AM&T), specialising in the international marketing of industrial minerals. AM&T has offices and operations in Australia, Singapore, Jakarta and Kalimantan, Indonesia and Osaka, Japan.

His experience has included the marketing of coal, uranium, all mineral sands, garnet, iron oxide, and silica sand/flour to a wide variety of industries worldwide. Grant is a Director of his own companies and he lives and works in Perth, Australia.

Since 1999 Grant has been working with VV Mineral (VVM) and during 2000 - 2004 assisted them in the delineation of their resources and the planning and construction of their first mineral sands plants. Since 2000 has been responsible for the marketing of VVM’s ilmenite worldwide. With VVM he currently exports over 400,000 tonnes per year of ilmenite to a variety of titanium dioxide pigment producers located in Europe and Asia.



Paul Betts, Vice President - Metals & Mining
RBC Capital Markets

Paul Betts is a Vice President in the Metals & Mining team at the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). Experienced investment banker, with expertise in public markets mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, debt arranging and capital raisings as well as general corporate advice to companies across a range of sectors and in particular mineral sands. RBC acts as corporate broker to both Kenmare Resources and Sierra Rutile. Over the last two years, RBC has successfully advised Kenmare Resources on two equity raisings and Tronox Limited on the issue of its US$1.5bn senior secured term loan. RBC has also had longstanding and consistent research coverage of the mineral sands sector.



Peter Malpas, Director
Braemar ACM Shipbrokers

Peter started his working career joining the British Merchant Navy as an Engineering Officer serving onboard refrigerated cargo vessels and a product tanker. On leaving the sea, he decided to attend University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology (UWIST) in Cardiff, where he successfully gained a BSc. (with honours) in Maritime Commerce.

On graduation, he joined Fairplay Publications in London, into the role of Data Manager and following the merger between Fairplay and Lloyd’s Register’s information department in 2001, he was promoted to Director of Information.

Peter migrated to Australia in 2006 and took a position as a Researcher for Braemar Seascope to support clients. In July 2011, he became responsible for the Perth office. Subsequently in July 2014, Braemar Seascope merged With ACM Shipbrokers to create Braemar ACM Shipbrokers. His main role is to support Braemar ACM’s clients and brokers with a macro perspective of the dry cargo market by which to make more informed medium and long term decisions.



Ed Barlow, China Country Manager
TZMI Management Consulting (Shanghai) Co., Ltd

Ed joined TZMI in 2012 as China country manager, having lived and worked in the country for almost a decade. He was previously a partner in a corporate advisory firm that focused on strategic research in the industrial and materials markets. Ed studied economics and management at the University of London.



Simon Hay, General Manager - Zircon Sales
Iluka Resources

Simon Hay is the General Manager for Zircon Sales for Iluka Resources and is based in Singapore. Simon joined Iluka in early 2009 and ran their mining, processing and SR Kiln operations in Capel in SW WA until mid-2011. Simon then took up the position of China Country Manager and was responsible for the sales and marketing of zircon and TiO2 products to China. In early 2014, Iluka changed their marketing to a product focus and Simon took over as head of global sales for zircon. Simon is a metallurgist by training and has over 23 years’ experience in the mining industry. Prior to joining Iluka, Simon worked at Mt Isa Mines, WMC Resources and BHP Billiton in the fields of metallurgy, projects and operations management at various copper and nickel operations across Australia.



Alister MacDonald, Managing Director
Technical Ceramic Marketing Services

Alister MacDonald is a ceramic engineer with 30 year’s experience in product and market development of zirconia and other ceramics raw materials and minerals. This includes various capacities across the zircon value adding chain, including mineral sands, zirconium chemicals and powders, and technical ceramics.

Alister has worked for different ceramic processing companies in Australia and the United States, and was formerly Group Marketing Manager of Doral Mineral Industries, before establishing Technical Ceramic Marketing Services in 2008.

Alister is currently a Marketing Consultant for Alkane Resources and other companies, with a focus on value adding of zirconium powders and chemicals, and associated specialty materials, including rare earths.



Trevor Matthews, Managing Director
MZI Resources Ltd

Alister MacDonald is a ceramic engineer with 30 year’s experience in product and market development of zirconia and other ceramics raw materials and minerals. This includes various capacities across the zircon value adding chain, including mineral sands, zirconium chemicals and powders, and technical ceramics.

Alister has worked for different ceramic processing companies in Australia and the United States, and was formerly Group Marketing Manager of Doral Mineral Industries, before establishing Technical Ceramic Marketing Services in 2008.

Alister is currently a Marketing Consultant for Alkane Resources and other companies, with a focus on value adding of zirconium powders and chemicals, and associated specialty materials, including rare earths.

Dawn McGregor, Network & Analysis
China Water Risk

Dawn McGregor manages the extensive network and publications of China Water Risk, a Hong Kong based, nonprofit initiative dedicated to addressing business & environmental risks arising from China’s limited water resources. The initiative aims to foster efficient and responsible use of China’s water resources and is the ‘go-to’ resource for global investment and business communities. McGregor’s management of written contributions from industry leaders, experts to scientists for the publication of the initiative’s monthly newsletter helps maintain this position. Her work is also recognized globally as a lead rapporteur at World Water Week. Last year, she not only presented key findings at the event’s closing plenary but also co-authored its conclusion paper.

Prior to China Water Risk, McGregor worked in a global investment bank analysing and mitigating non-financial risk in Asia Pacific including crisis management, business resiliency and geo-political risk assessment. Today, she applies these competencies to water and has written numerous articles on corporate exposure to climate and water risks for China Water Risk. Recently, she co-authored “Toward A Water & Energy Secure Future”, China Water Risk’s tome exploring strategies towards water and energy security in China. With a degree in Biology and Business McGregor hopes to continue her work to bridge the scientific world with the corporate & public sector to create synergistic opportunities that benefit our world. She was born and bred in Hong Kong and has lived in France, England as well as Singapore & Beijing.



Mr Bi Sheng, Chairman
China National Chemical Industry Productivity Center, Titanium Dioxide Branch

Bi Sheng is the director of National Chemical Industry Center-TiO2 Branch, secretary general of TiO2 Pigment Industry Technology Innovation New Strategy League, team leader of Titanium Dioxide Specialist Group, and chairman of the Coating and Pigment standardization Technology Committee Pigment branch.

Mr Bi has 45 years of TiO2 industry working experience, including 26 years working on TiO2 technology and product development. Also, he has participated in or led more than 10 national projects tackling key problem . Mr Bi has strategized and hosted several national TiO2 conferences and technology exchange activities, which are well responded to.

Since 1995, Mr Bi has worked as chief editor of Titanium Dioxide and Pigment magazine. In addition, by communicating with many multinational companies, he has developed a good understanding of both domestic and international TiO2 industry status quo and development trends.



Robert Gibney, General Manager - Titanium Dioxide Sales
Iluka Resources Limited

Robert Gibney is General Manager Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) Sales for Iluka Resources, based in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States.

Mr. Gibney has over 25 years of pigment industry experience, having spent over 21 years with Tronox/Kerr-McGee Chemical in a wide variety of management positions, including Vice President Global Pigment Marketing, Vice President Investor Relations and Corporate Affairs, Senior Vice President Global Supply Chain and Chief Administrative Officer.

Having joined Iluka on February 1, 2014, Mr. Gibney is focused on developing Iluka’s TiO2 feedstock sale strategies along with increasing the TiO2 expertise within the company.



Qiu Jianting, General Manager
Jiangsu Taibai Group

Qiu Jianting, master degree, is the vice president of Jiangsu Titanium Dioxide Group, editorial board of Titanium Dioxide, vice team leader of National Chemical Industry Center Titanium Dioxide Branch, director of China Coating Industrial Association, and director of China Titanium Dioxide Industry Technology Innovation League. He has been working on TiO2 production and study, and participating in and organizing several technology innovation and achievement promotion. He is quite familiar with China’s TiO2 industry and related resources.



Wu Xiangping, General Secretary
Society of Coatings and Finishing of CIESC (Powder Coatings and Finishing)

Wu Xiangping, senior economist, became General Secretary of the Society of Coatings and Finishing of CIESC (Powder Coatings and Finishing) in 2015. Prior to this, he mainly engaged in information and industry administration in TiO2 and inorganic pigments. The Society of Coatings and Finishing of CIESC has a proven track record in developing and maintaining long-term and close networks with domestic and abroad TiO2 enterprises along with a deep understanding of the industry’s current status and development trends. Wu Xiangping has published a large amount of articles on TiO2 industry development trends and annual reports on China's pigment industry.



Zhang Dongliang (Michael), Senior Project Manager
TZMI Management Consulting (Shanghai) Co., Ltd

Michael joined TZMI in September 2013 as Senior Project Manager. After graduating with a major in chemistry and working for a local pharmaceutical company, he started his Masters degree at the University of Warwick in the UK where he successfully received his master distinction for his final project on fuel cells. He was recommended to the Imperial College, London in 2007 and worked in its Energy Futures Lab as Project Manager Assistant, where he became involved in cleantech and renewable energy projects. In 2010, he moved to Consensus Business Group as an investment analyst. He was responsible for looking after and recommending potential new energy technologies to the board to finish VC/PE investments. In 2012, he returned to China, working in Beijing for a US consulting company focusing on cleantech and renewable energy.



Li Jing, Deputy General Manager
Pangang Titanium Industry Co., Ltd

Mr. Li Jing obtained a degree of MBA (Master of Business Administration) at Xi’an Jiaotong University. He was employed as an engineer of vanadium extraction process in the vanadium extraction & steel making plant of Panzhihua Iron & Steel (Group) Company (abbreviated as Pangang), and held such posts as the chief of the merging section of the capital operation department, the director of the strategic research office of Pangang Group, now he is the vice general manager of the trading company of Pangang Group Titanium Industry Corp..

Mr. Li Jing is very proficient in the technology of vanadium & titanium smelting process, and is expert in the merging & acquisition of the enterprises. He has a unique study on the global market of titanium dioxide and titanium raw material. He is well known in the titanium industry for his accurate analysis of the market.



Joe Zhou, Head of Research - China
Jones Lang LaSalle

Mr. Zhou is the Head of Research for Jones Lang LaSalle in China. He is also responsible for coordinating various for-fee projects the firm undertakes on behalf of key clients in the insurance, private equity, and property development sectors. Mr. Zhou is also responsible for writing and coordinating Jones Lang LaSalle’s regular research publications. He focuses on tracking and analyzing government policies and economic data and updates internal and external clients on the implications of related economic or policy changes.

He joined Jones Lang LaSalle’s Research team in Shanghai in 2005, bringing with him his in-depth experience in market research and development consultancy studies. Throughout his career, Mr. Zhou has participated in numerous project feasibility studies, property development appraisals, and property valuations.

Guangqiang Wang, engineer, is President of Shandong Lei Bao zirconium Sci&Tech Co., Ltd. Mr Wang began his professional career in 1992 with Shandong Refractories Group after graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology(Former Wuhan Steel College). From 1992 to 2000, he held a range of leadership roles as technology manager, marketing director and vice GM in this group. In 2001, he established Shandong Lei Bao which is a high-tech enterprise specialized in series of zirconium products R & D, production and sales, including high purity refractory ceramic raw materials, high purity refractory ceramic products, high dense ceramic powder, ultra-high temperature furnace materials.

Mr Dongmin Jiang, GM of Zhejiang Zr-Valley Science & Technology Co., Ltd, started his career in the field of chemical zirconium since 1993. He joined Shenhua Group in 1999 and became GM of Zhejiang Zr-Valley Science & Technology Co Ltd in four years. In 2011, he was appointed as president and GM of this company. Mr Jiang is chair and standing director of Ti/Zr/Hf committee of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association.
